Peace of Mind is Worth Millions

I constantly hear people complaining that their financial dreams are not being achieved. They imagine this fabulous life where they are surrounded with all the luxury they want and regular life is just not worth it. I see it in myself as well. Being raised in the United States of America we are constantly bombarded with the idea that we can have whatever we want and the sky is the limit. Funny thing is , it is true. Many people have come to the US with absolutely nothing and managed to build empires. These reports hurt even more. The average person has to feel lazy or inadequate if they, after being born here, can’t pull it together enough to get rich.

On closer examination I have found that wealth is not really a cause of happiness at all. Many wealthy people were much happier when they were struggling and money creates as many problems as it solves. Case in point, the strange story of lotto winners and other financial windfall people. If they are not used to having a lot, it mostly destroys them .

I think the undervalued asset of our time is peace of mind. To know that you are happy the way things are and that each and every moment has as much ecstasy and you want to bring to it or reveal, will propel you into a beautiful world of bliss beyond any nerve wracking rat race ever devised.
