It would appear that the ideal employee is dead. This heroic character died of heart disease or alcoholism or maybe just lack of attention. What happened to a world where loyalty is no longer valued ? Where employees know they are totally expendable and companies don’t even care because they might not be here tomorrow. This is something that has definitely changed in Modern America. People used to live for their job. People would cherish their life , stability and community. Now , there is a palatable sense of us against them. Employers simply building a shell to later sell it and employees doing as little as possible to get their check and get the hell out. This is a core problem. People need to have pride in their work and without this an entire country can crumble. Remember when being an Ideal Employee was an hero rather than a sucker ?
