I remember playing board games as a child and loving it. What a great way to have fun and spend no money. I’m not sure what happened to me or society in general but it seems we don’t do enough board games these days. It was a crazy night of fun and excitement for all the friends and family to have a have a huge game of Monopoly. A very, very social thing to do. Constantly sharing ideas and strategy, laughing and crying a lot.

Now, it’s all I can do to play a game of chess against my computer. Something very simple and un-involved, with none of the strings that go with being social. Maybe it’s just me but I think all of us are much more self-involved these days. I’m finding myself more and more craving the joyous communal activity we have left behind. Like Monopoly ….
