Dog Called Man by Cloud

abecloud asked:

Imagine a 40 foot Dog terrorizing a town by eating its religion. That’s the starting point for, “A Dog Called Man” by Abraham Cloud. Sounds a little like Bob Dylan being backed by REM. But remember, “The Missionaries left on Ferries bound for foreign sanctuaries. ” Find it on the CD, “Voyage To Afghanistan.”

Everybody’s doin’ better than me. Even people in the military see the world and get some money for free, yeah everybody’s doin’ better than me. Everybody’s in a rock’n'roll band, making records and touring Japan. Everybody’s got a high set of hopes, matching towels and some good friends who know everybody at the top of the heap. Everybody’s got American Dreamz to stay at home eating peaches and cream. Everybody’s got a stash in the bank, credit cards and an

Voyage to Afghanistan by Abraham Cloud

CheepFun asked:

Although I don’t think you can reach it by boat , maybe that’s the point. A “Voyage To Afghanistan” is an impossible dream. An unreachable goal. An unthinkable thought. This video was found on an obscure Music Blog posted by someone named Albert. Definitely well intentioned, the lyrics are not always in sync with the video but it seems to really highlight some of the bizarre lyrical images in this absurd masterpiece. “Something in the way you breathe with your mouth open unsettles me. Makes me think I missed out on life and you could breathe life in me .Like air-conditioning, Like a good movie. Like some cash in my hand , A Voyage To Afghanistan.”
