Flying Over You
This is an Abraham Cloud song that you’ll find on the “Cruelty of Gravity” CD. Once the chorus had totally stuck in my head, I started hearing the phrase “Flying Over You” everywhere. The Track sounds a bit like a lost Lennon song. Sort of like a demo from the ” Free As A Bird” period. I never realized the phrase comes up in Kimya Dawson’s “Eleventeen” “silver pink ponies flying over me flying over me they’re flying over you too.” Then later I noticed the line in the song Goodbye Horses, from the movie Silence of the Lambs. The lyric goes, “Goodbye Horses , I’m Flying Over You.” This video, of Abraham Cloud’s “Flying Over You” is by Donald H , from somewhere in Utah, Its an attempt to visualize a pretty odd pop song. The production on this song is completely amazing, it was all done by Abraham Cloud. Like a lot of his best stuff, no one else was allowed to touch it. Check out the “Strawberry Fields” snare part on the chorus, or the odd psychedelic backdrop for the bridge. There is actually more music packed in this song per digi- second than almost anywhere. “Sometimes it feels like everything and everyone is wrong,I’ve got to get away , try to find a place where I belong. “
