I guess live is really where music happens. At least that’s what they tell me. And I understand the thought. i think music really happens for me through recording. Because I can control the sound, backing instruments , everything. Live, you are always at the mercy of the sound man, the club’s equipment , the musicians and the vibe of the club. It can be a real fight and seems to always fall short of the way I want it. Sometimes, though it far surpasses expectations. Like this song, “Falling In Love With Myself.” This is the only time it was ever performed or recorded and it is really cool. Just perfect for what it is. Live. Breathing. Living. Flawed.
