Martin Luther King Jr – I Have a Dream
Probably one of the most inspiring songs of all time. Not sure why I think of it as a song. It must be just how memorable those words are , "I HAVE A DREAM," So much of the modern world was shaped by this speech and these words. It is like a song that just won't stop playing. And as far as an influence on peoples lives , no song ever had more impact. Life was different back then. Today we have a black president, This was unimaginable in King's days. Even to suggest it would have been considered treason. Dr. King was so far ahead of his time. One of the first major figures to speak out on the Vietmnam War and delve way deeper into the Military Industrial Complex behind it. He definately was a dangerous radical. A man with the power to topple empires with his truth. He was hated and feared by not only the Powerful but much of white America in general. He was one who stood up for truth. Sacraficed for truth. And is remembered and a truly great man.
